Freecodecamp log in and saving progress

Hello, I’ve just started at the beginning of the Freecodecamp curriculum, and so far enjoying it except for two really frustrating issues. It is possible to log in to the curriculum without having to have a code sent to my email address everytime?
Secondly, if I hit the backpace key and my cursor is not on a line of text, it will jump back to a previous challenge that I have solved and I have to do the whole thing over again as I cannot see anywhere in my profile that my progress has been saved.

you need to use one of the third party log ins, just choose one in which you have the same email you usually use to log in

you should be able to save with Ctlr+S but the backspace is a browser feature, it’s not something that can be solved
