Hi @abrahamparn

It is ok. My aproach was more functional I think, I have used .filter , then .map throw Nolan’s films and finally .reduce:
averageRating = nolanRatings.reduce((rating1, rating2) => rating1 + rating2) / nolanRatings.length;

I have found really useful back later on to some good challenges, trying to solving it in different ways, even with just the basics, no array methods!!

You did not use map the way its meant to be used. map goes throught every array item and modifies its value, based on the callback you passed. In your case, you dont use it with the purpose to get averageRatings with modified content, use use it to build the contents of your new array ratingNolanArray. forEach would be much more fitting for that purpose, since its used to go over the contents of an array and use each item for certain calculations(not returning the modified array in the end).
I think, with some experimenting, you could fit, most, if not all the logic of your map, into the reduce, directly calling it on the watchList. You are also storing the director in your ratingNolanArray, yet you dont use that value and you already pressumably know, its Nolan.
If im to explain the expected reduce logic in words, it would be - look into the movie object, check if the director is Nolan, if so add/make the rating calculation for the final/returned result, else just return the previous result and move on.
