I am 32 now and had taken a break from the IT industry in 2012. I want to come back and to that end, am interested in FCC’s course on Information Security.
But I do not know the prerequisites for this course, i have no idea of helmet.js, which is the first topic. Can I still take this course directly or should i equip myself with some knowledge of technologies?

I would say go head and jump at it. Most of FCC courses are designed to help out students who are beginners and have no prior knowledge of certain subjects. As you follow along the course, the instructions will help you.
