I just found a post on Github’s blog referencing this competition of sorts which works with hacktoberfest. Warning: this only works if you aren’t just trying to get the prize, aka you take it seriously. You submit a PR you made out of the goodness of your heart, and you get a badge on your profile. Cool beans.
