I have an input with type and id = "submit. I can’t understand why it won’t pass. 3 days on this is absolutely ridiculous… It’s preventing me from completing the required project so I don’t want to skip it but it is unreasonable to spend another day on it.

You have at least two elements with id=“submit”.
Id attributes should be unique.
As an aside, I note that the text for your submit button is ‘Sumbit’.
