Got stuck with accessing JSON objects

Tell us what’s happening:
I understand I need to use if and else if statements but I don’t understand the logic of the conditions and the syntax.

So far I have done this code, I watched the video but I don’t want to copy code, I do really want to understand what is happening, please explain

function updateRecords(id, prop, value) {

if (prop != “tracks” && “tracks” != );

return collection;

}

else if (prop != “tracks” && value !== “”) {

}

else (value !="") {

delete prop[value];

}

Your code so far

// Setup
var collection = {
2548: {
  album: "Slippery When Wet",
  artist: "Bon Jovi",
  tracks: [
    "Let It Rock",
    "You Give Love a Bad Name"
  ]
},
2468: {
  album: "1999",
  artist: "Prince",
  tracks: [
    "1999",
    "Little Red Corvette"
  ]
},
1245: {
  artist: "Robert Palmer",
  tracks: [ ]
},
5439: {
  album: "ABBA Gold"
}
};

// Only change code below this line
function updateRecords(id, prop, value) {

if (prop != "tracks" && "tracks" != []);

return collection;
}

else if (prop != "tracks" && value !== "") {

}

else  (value !="") {
delete prop[value];
}
updateRecords(5439, "artist", "ABBA");
