H2 color - Going nuts!

Tell us what’s happening:
Header Text changes to red, but I am still getting the error on the first task : “Your H2 element should be red”

I saw tons of posts on this topic, and most were due to spaces, or semi-colon, etc. I tried directly copying some of the provided solutions, changing spaces/placement every way I can think, refreshing my page, resetting the lesson…nothing seems to work! I’m sure this is something minut and extremely ridiculous, but I’m going bonkers trying to figure this out!

Thanks in advance!

What browser are you using?

Try clearing your cache. If that doesn’t work try another browser.

Your code is right. Sometimes things get stuck in the browser.

Using Chrome; Tried clearing Cache and deleting everything in chrome, still no luck.

try another browser. I’m using Firefox and the code works.

This is so weird -

So I cleared it for all time instead of last 24 hours and logged back in. The code when I enter it still wont work, however codecamp seems to think I already passed that lesson!

Not only that, but the site also seems to think I passed the next 6 lessons as well, even though I hadn’t even looked at them! I’m guessing it was from all the times I had the correct code and hit submit. But very strange bug!!

Thanks for your prompt replies! As much as it bugs me that I can’t manually get the style code to give me a “pass”, I’ll accept your word that its correct and just move on =D

So I had a “dark mode” extension running. I’m guessing that was also changing something in the CSS so that the specific changes I was making were also being changed - regardless I turned it off and voila!

Glad you figured it out…hrm…disable extensions…this comes up all the time and it may be worth mentioning the next time.

Browsers…I tell you.
