Has anyone been in a similar situation as myself. What helped you turn it around?

I’m currently 43 years old, but I look like I’m in my mid 30s. Have a wife and 2 young kids that are not old enough to stay home yet.

I won’t bore you in the details, but I’ve made too many mistakes in my past. If I had taken my education seriously, I would have a master’s degree or PhD by now.

If I could go back in time, I would slap my younger self and tell him to get serious about high school and college.

Later today I will go to my warehouse job, working the graveyard shift. I tolerate it. I would rather be the I.T. person or programmer in a company. That’s one of my passions I have in life.

My resume just consists of entry-level retail jobs, warehouse, production and was a route driver for a dry cleaning company.

Wife and I share one car. I have to work the graveyard shift while she takes the car during the day and takes the kids to school and goes to her job.

Saving up for a second car at the moment.

I do not have any job connections. I really wish I did. Feel alone in this.

Just want to know if anyone here was in a similar predicament to my situation, and how did you turn it around?

Just want to improve the quality of life for my wife and kids. I want my kids to play happily in their own backyard. Right now, my family and I live in an apartment.

So if you have been in a similar situation as myself, and you turned your life around. How did you do it?

Thank you.
