Hello guys! Please help me,I’ve been sticker on add src attribute to the url. Help me out

I need help on adding src to the url. I passed adding alt and image element but the src is giving me issues. This is my progress so far

<img src="https://www.freecatphotoapp.com/your-image.jpg" alt="A business cat wearing a necktie.">

I have edited your post to include the challenge link.

I’ve edited your post for readability. When you enter a code block into a forum post, please precede it with a separate line of three backticks and follow it with a separate line of three backticks to make it easier to read.

You can also use the “preformatted text” tool in the editor (</>) to add backticks around text.

See this post to find the backtick on your keyboard.
Note: Backticks (`) are not single quotes (’).

Hi @Verahtml !

Welcome to the forum!

You are using the wrong link here

Please read the directions more carefully for the correct link
Now set the src attribute so that it points to the url https://cdn.freecodecamp.org/curriculum/cat-photo-app/relaxing-cat.jpg

Thank you for your response, I’ll try it again.

<img src=“https://cdn.freecodecamp.org/curriculum/cat-photo-app/relaxing-cat.jpg alt=“relaxing cat.”>

Done but it’s saying alt is empty and src should point at kitten image. Totally lost here.

Hi @Verahtml , the quotes ("…") have not been closed for the src attribute. Put a quote (") after the word “jpg”

Make sure you are using straight quotes here

Programming uses straight quotes like these ""

You will need to turn off smart quotes on your device
