I have pushed changes to GitHub and added them to GH Pages, but for some reason, FCC doesn’t register the helmet version in the package.json file.

This is a fullstack app. As such, it needs to be hosted on a live server - not statically hosted. GH Pages only offers static hosting.
This is why the link to create a REPL on Replit is given. Otherwise, many Campers use services like Heroku, Digital Ocean, and CodeSandbox to complete these challenges.

Since you already have everything setup locally, you can just submit the localhost link for the challenges.
Start the server locally(run
npm start in the command line in the project directory), and submit the
http://localhost:3000/ in the solution field for the challenges.
