Help and Feedback -- Coding Buddy?

Hi folks,

This may sound weird, but as an old school (really old school, I learned FORTRAN and COBOL!) programmer, my javascript is actually pretty good, I cruise right through those challenges.

My HTML sucks.

My elements don’t show up where I think they are supposed to, my pages look radically different when I put them on CodePen vs GitHub vs on my own machine.

Any help and feedback would be most appreciated. If you are strong in HTML, but perhaps a bit weak in javascript, I would be glad to form a code-buddy alliance with you!
