Subject: Seeking Help for My First App Development Project - Beginner with No Coding Experience
Hi everyone in the freeCodeCamp community!
My name is Rajhsurian, I’m 26 years old from Malaysia, and I’m looking to build my first mobile app. I don’t know about coding at all, and I don’t have money to do it professionally, so I’m seeking free alternatives and community support to make this happen. The idea is to create a simple app where people can post about their urgent needs or emergencies (like financial help for medical bills or daily essentials), and others can see the post and donate money directly—either as a single person or a group, similar to casual crowdfunding but focused on quick, personal appeals without fancy features.
I’m completely new to this and could use some guidance on:
- Choosing the right free tools/framework for beginners (e.g., Flutter, React Native, or something else that’s easy and no-cost).
- Step-by-step advice on getting started, like setting up the environment on my computer or phone.
- Tips on common pitfalls and best practices, especially for someone starting from zero knowledge.
- Maybe even code reviews, simple templates, or mentorship if anyone’s up for it—I’m open to learning through free resources and repeated help!
I’ve started looking at some of the freeCodeCamp tutorials, but hands-on help would be amazing since I can’t afford paid courses or developers. I’m committed to learning and will update on my progress as I go.
Thanks in advance for any advice, resources, or alternatives you can share to help me build this app freely!
Best,
Rajhsurian
