I am doing CS50 in edx, as i came across the first project.

here the if statement is not working properly, i am newbie to Scratch, i don’t know the exact mistake.

I just checked my old projects in Scratch and I’m getting the same screen when I tried to see the projects that are not available for others to see. You have to share your project to make it available:
