Help with Iterate Through the Keys of an Object with a for...in Statement

Tell us what’s happening:

Hey guys :slight_smile: My first post on here! I’ve been struggling to find a bug in this code. It keeps outputting 0, as if it’s not incrementing userNumber like I want it to. Could anyone please point out my mistake?

Thank you!

Your code so far

let users = {
  Alan: {
    age: 27,
    online: false
  },
  Jeff: {
    age: 32,
    online: true
  },
  Sarah: {
    age: 48,
    online: false
  },
  Ryan: {
    age: 19,
    online: true
  }
};

function countOnline(obj) {
  // change code below this line

  for (let user in obj) {
    let userNumber = 0;
      if (obj[user]['online'] == true) {
        userNumber++;
      }
      return userNumber;
  }
  // change code above this line
}

console.log(countOnline(users));
