Help with VIrtual Box/VIrtual Machines

I’m trying to get started on Unbuntu and Linux and I’m having trouble opening a virtual machine in VirtualBox. I have created a machine in VirtualBox assigned it to the Unbuntu disc image and instantiated the virtual machine…but when I try to start my virtual machine I get this message:


Not in a hypervisor partition (HVP=0) (VERR_NEM_NOT_AVAILABLE).

VT-x is disabled in the BIOS for all CPU modes (VERR_VMX_MSR_ALL_VMX_DISABLED).

I cannot find the issue and I’m not familiar enough with Unbuntu, Oracle, Linux to know what anyone of this means or how to remedy it. Could someone help me out and tell me what I should do?

I’m away from my desktop, but I recommend you Google virtualbox bios vtx. This is a common problem.

Yep, that’s the exact issue. There are many walk throughs when you Google the problem.
