Challenge: Link to Internal Sections of a Page with Anchor Elements

I would click the “Reset All Code” button to start fresh. There are two things you need to do here:

  • Update the “cat photos” link at the top
  • Add an id attribute to the <footer>

Let’s do the second one first. Adding an id element works the same way as adding any other attribute to an element. Look at the href on the link. The format is name="value". You would use this same format to add an id with value footer to the <footer>. Don’t let it throw you that the value of the id is the same as the name of the element.

For the link, you need to change the value of the href attribute to #footer, change the link text from “cat photos” to “Jump to Bottom”, and remove the target attribute completely. I have faith you can do this.

thank you so much , very helpful. i have done it.
