Hoping for feedback and suggestions on the Weather App

Good afternoon!

I was hoping someone had time to offer some suggestions on my Weather App.

I tried to build it without JQuery, that may or may not have been a good idea…I also tried to use the Flickr API for local images associated with the weather. I think the implementation is clunky and would welcome any suggestions on how to smooth the API call.

The area I think needs the most work is the CSS. I was given the suggestion of using BEM’s methodology but I haven’t given it the time yet. When I looked I think there are intermediate steps I should take to make the most of it. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

looks good to me.
to do some nit picking: C/F button is two lines on a narrow screen but changes to one line when you click on it, just looks untidy/awkward. The picture takes a while to load, if I was just checking the weather, it probably wouldn’t load in time.

Thanks for taking the time. I’am not sure how to decrease the load time to have it ready when it opens, but I will look into it. Thanks for the feedback!
