How am I able to set the top and bottom margin/padding in inline elements

I’m able to set the margin and padding(top and bottom) in inline elements.
How’s that possible?

It would help to see the code where you manage to do such wizardry :smiley:

EDIT My guess is that those inline elements are children of a flex container?

Ok, there’s a small mistake in what I said, I was only able to set the top and bottom, padding. Not margin.
