Challenge: Step 21

Link to the challenge:

You add empty div elements just like you would add any other empty element, with an opening and closing tag and nothing in between the tags. You have already done this several times, for example,

<div class="bb1a"></div>

I have done that yet my code isn’t passing the test

I think you accidentally forget to add a few of them. There should be 5 new empty divs added. I only see three in your HTML.

I added 5 div already two before my background-buildings, two after my background-buildings, one div in between my bb3 and bb4.

Ahh, you did add five, I missed that, sorry. But you added two of them in the wrong place. Read the instructions again very carefully.

Please this the code what I my doing wrong

To display your code in here you need to wrap it in triple back ticks. On a line by itself type three back ticks. Then on the first line below the three back ticks paste in your code. Then below your code on a new line type three more back ticks. The back tick on my keyboard is in the upper left just above the Tab key and below the Esc key.

<div></div>
    <div></div>
    <div class="background-buildings">
      <div></div>
      <div></div>
      <div class="bb1">
        <div class="bb1a"></div>
        <div class="bb1b"></div>
        <div class="bb1c"></div>
        <div class="bb1d"></div>
      </div>
      <div class="bb2"></div>
      <div class="bb3"></div>
      <div></div>
      <div class="bb4"></div>
      <div></div>
      <div></div>
      <div></div>
      <div></div>
    </div>

  </body>

Now I count six new empty divs.

which should I get rid of ?

The bottom two divs, the ones after bb4 where you got 4.

Hi,

I don’t if you’ve been able to pass the challenge if not I know the solution.

 mod edit: solution redacted

It is great that you solved the challenge, but instead of posting your full working solution, it is best to stay focused on answering the original poster’s question(s) and help guide them with hints and suggestions to solve their own issues with the challenge.

We are trying to cut back on the number of spoiler solutions found on the forum and instead focus on helping other campers with their questions and definitely not posting full working solutions.
