How do i let a client preview website before launching it?

I have a website that is nearly finished for a friend. I would like to be able to share it with him so he can give me input and whatnot. Before, I was just sending him screenshots and i met with him once ( live in different countries) to review and get his feedback. Now i would like him to have access to it whenever so he can give me feedback. What is an easy and inexpensive way to do this?

Just host the website somewhere and send him a link to it. If the site is just HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, then you can use Github or to host for free.

Do you have a link to the gh site? We can take a look and maybe help you figure out the reason for distortion.

Oh that would be great. it should be at

If you look at the browser console (Ctrl+Shft+J in Chrome), you will see many 404 errors. These errors mean you have referenced a file which is not at the location you reference.

For example, the following html of your index.html of your site contains a reference to an image called “primfitlogo_burned.png”. When I look in your repository, I do not see that file listed (see screen shot at bottom). You have many files missing. Maybe you changed the spelling locally but did not commit the changes or push the changes to github. Fix these issues and if the site is not showing correctly, then let us know.

At my work we use this node module ngrok. If you’re running a local server it will connect to a temporary public domain you can send to clients to preview and interact with the site.
