How do you reply to a post via email?

I see that there is a badge called “First Reply By Email”.
How would I do this?

If you have email notifications turned on you get an email when there is a reply. I think you might be able to just reply to that notification email.

I tried that and it did not work.

I’m not sure that the feature is implemented with our version of the forum software or may be incompatible with some of our settings.
