# How do you test code put on codepen.io?

The coding challenges want me to test my code but I don’t know how to. What am I supposed to do to be able to test it? Or does testing not even matter?

Hi there @gammalabsgamer welcome!

in each project you will see a yellowish window on the lft side of the preview area

where is written “Select Test Suite” you choose the project you currently work on and see what passed and what are errors. beside, you need to leave in window the` <script>` text that you see in the left window and write your code beneath

Every project has a link to the to a template with the test suite. Click the “Fork” button (bottom right). To make a copy to your own CodePen account. Change the name of the pen, build the project, and click the “Run Tests” button.
