Hi, I’m just curious how long it has taken folks to complete this certification?
I’ve completed certificates 1,2,3,4 & 6 along with some legacy certifications…
This one just seems REALLY LONG , and while interesting, a little bit tedious to me.
But I don’t want to skip anything because I’m sure all the components are there for teaching purposes. I learned SQL ages ago (was never an expert) so maybe I’m just being or feeling impatient compared to the web DEV stuff which was mostly new to me when I started FCC.
Is it longer than the others or have I forgotten how long the others took ? Thanks…I don’t mean to diminish anyone else’s accomplishments, just curious about this one.
Out of all the certifications, I’d say this one is the longest. I think there’s over 1000 mini-lessons.
If you know SQL, Bash, Git, etc. then you might find it tedious, but I personally think it has the best lessons. I really learned a ton from this one.

Agree. I’m new to SQL, and although I’m more of an imaginative person that likes visual stuff present in front of me, the Bash and SQL sequences are great. Although sometimes when I make a small mistake, I start freaking out because I’m afraid my progress will be lost (shout out to the beta version)

So i’m still in the midst of this certification, working on the bike shop, and I’m actually really enjoying it. Even though it is a ‘bit’ tedious at times, I am appreciating the step by step and the repetition and the interesting projects, and really feel like while I thought i knew SQL, this is the first time I have ever been able to just type an SQL query out and have it work the first time with joins, filters, etc.
