I am new to website development and want to understand what technology and library can be used to create XML tools such as.

I want to build tool which is similar for my company’s intranet.

I’m no expert on this, but that seems pretty straight forward. Actually, in the Data Visualization this is a project that isn’t that much different, the markdown previewer. The only difference here is that you can edit both sides. There are plenty of ways to deal with XML and JSON, including some nice JQuery functions.
