How to access returned data

var findPeopleByName = function(personName, done, res) {
  Person.find({"name": personName},function(err, data) {
      if (err) return done(err);
      console.log(data);
      return done(null, data);
    })
};

How do I access the results in data when findPeopleByName is a function

you’ve defined the done callback function, and that is what is passing the data response back to the (presumably) front end.

I guess I’m confused - do you mean, how do you access the results within that findPeopleByName function, or in the front end, or somewhere else?

“how do you access the results within that findPeopleByName function, in the front end, or somewhere else”
Yes, exactly.
I can console log data inside the function and view it. But how do I pass it to ‘somewhere else’ to be used. data` is returned to the function called findPeopleByName()
