How to complete nav bar - Documentation page

I’m struggling to complete the nav bar portion of the project. The nav bar style is applying to the other lists, even when they’re different types of lists. Can someone please help?!

Hi @champloo30 !

Welcome to the forum!

Right now you are targeting all <ol> elements in your css.

  ol {
  list-style-type: none;
  margin: 0;
  padding: 0;
  width: 20%;
  background-color: #404040;
  height: 100%;
  border: 2px solid teal;
}

They are all going to have the same styles.

If you just want to target the <nav> element then you will need to do that in your css.

But also, your navbar should not be all the way at the bottom of your html document.
You will need to move that towards the top of your html just below the opening <main> tag.

It needs to be a the top left hand corner of the page for larger devices.
That is one of the test requirements.

Hope that helps!
