How to read programmatically?

var someObj = {
  propName: "John"
};
function propPrefix(str) {
  var s = "prop";
  return s + str;
}
var someProp = propPrefix("Name"); // someProp now holds the value 'propName'
console.log(someObj[someProp]); // "John"

could someone teach how to read this programmatically ,please?

I’ve edited your post for readability. When you enter a code block into a forum post, please precede it with a separate line of three backticks and follow it with a separate line of three backticks to make easier to read.

See this post to find the backtick on your keyboard. The “preformatted text” tool in the editor (</>) will also add backticks around text.

Note: Backticks are not single quotes.

We can’t got through character by character to explain it. Was there something in particular that confused you? If everything confuses you then you need to learn JavaScript. If you followed the FCC JavaScript course, you’d be understanding things like this in no time.
