How will I be able to connect with alumni in freeCodeCamp who could aid me transition to big product companies?
A reliable way to find freeCodeCamp alumni is using LinkedIn search. You can filter people by education using freeCodeCamp, then filter by your target companies.
When reaching out, keep your message short and specific instead of asking for a referral immediately. Ask about how they structured their interview preparation or what skills proved most useful on the job. People are more likely to respond to focused questions.
You can also check the official Discord server and local chapter meetups, where alumni frequently share advice and answer questions.
