Tell us what’s happening:

Your code so far

<style>
  .item1{background:LightSkyBlue;}
  .item2{background:LightSalmon;}
  .item3{background:PaleTurquoise;}
  .item4{background:LightPink;}
  .item5{background:PaleGreen;}

  .container {
    font-size: 40px;
    min-height: 300px;
    width: 100%;
    background: LightGray;
    display: grid;
    /* change the code below this line */

    grid-template-columns: 100px minmax(90px, 1fr);

    /* change the code above this line */
    grid-template-rows: 1fr 1fr 1fr;
    grid-gap: 10px;
  }
</style>

<div class="container">
  <div class="item1">1</div>
  <div class="item2">2</div>
  <div class="item3">3</div>
  <div class="item4">4</div>
  <div class="item5">5</div>
</div>

Try to change “fr” with “px”

Your code is correct to draw 2 columns: the first 100px wide and the second with a minimum width of 90px and a maximum of 1fr.
Now, if you check the challenge requests you will see you’re asked to create a column with the exact properties of your second one and then use that column replacing something in the original code.

My suggest then is to reset your progress and search for the right place in the original code to insert your second column ( replacing something in the old code)^^
