I want to dual boot my Acer Predator Helios 300 with windows and ubuntu side by side. I have windows installed on my ssd but i want to install ubuntu on hdd. Also whenever i try to live boot ubuntu it freezes completely and i have to shut down completely. My Config is :- i5 7300HQ with Nvidia GTX 1050Ti ---

I don’t know if it is still a problem. But at one point I tried to install Ubutnu on my dads computer and had some issues trying to boot the ubuntu installer from a USB. The issue I had at that time was there was something I believe called “Secure Boot”. I had to disable this in order to install it. So might check your bios settings and disable Secure Boot and see if that helps. ---

I might also suggest checking over at [askubuntu.com](https://askubuntu.com/). There are a lot of smart guys and gals here, but there are going to be a lot more over there that specialize in the problems you are having. ---
