I built a practise website - looking for feedback

I’ve been coding for just over a month, so I decided to challenge myself and help myself learn by creating a mock-up website design for one of my favourite photographers using a bit of Bootstrap, jQuery, and obviously HTML and CSS. I also tried to make the page fully responsive.

It goes without saying that I don’t own any of the website’s content, everything belongs to Alex Strohl (www.alexstrohl.com).

I’m just looking for some general feedback on the page so any comments would be hugely appreciated! The code is available at: https://github.com/jamesddavies/Mockup-Photography-Website/blob/gh-pages/index.html

Hi James,
That’s a really nice looking site. Great idea. It’s nicely designed and looks professional. There are a couple of things that caught my eye in a negative way. The carousel background is distracting, I’d keep it static and change the image when a different menu item is chosen. Also in the Adventures section, I expected to see bigger images or some text when I clicked on displayed images, but nothing happened.
Overall I’d say you did a great job with it, especially considering that you’ve been coding for such a short time.

Thanks for the great feedback - I’ll definitely look at implementing the things you’ve mentioned. Thanks again!
