everything within those tags will be marked as a comment

e.g.

<!-- THIS TEXT IS MARKED AS A COMMENT  -->

To uncomment something in html is to take something outside of <!-- --> tags or simply delete comment tags

e.g. → uncomment the example above

I would reset the lesson and only remove the comment tags like @seekinfox showed you.
