Hey Guys, so i am in the process of learning how to code with freecodecamp. i’ve just completed the basic java script, and still feel lost, although i leant a little about java, i feel like i should have started with responsive web design ( html). I just want to know if to starting JavaScript Algorithms and Data Structures or Responsive Web Design?
Most beginners feel that way.
You just started learning how to code and don’t have much programming experience.
It is completely normal to be lost when learning programming.
There is a lot of information to keep track.
Just take it day by day and continue practicing.
When you get stuck with a problem make sure to ask specific questions about what you need help with.
At a quick glance in your previous posts, it looks like you just post code without detailing what you are struggling with.
You will receive better help and understanding if you can articulate what you don’t understand.
This is also vital skill you will need to have if you are interested pursuing this as a career.
In order to make web pages, you will need to learn HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
The Responsive web design course teaches HTML and CSS.
While going through the responsive web design course will be helpful, you will probably still take a while to understand javascript.
In order to feel comfortable with programming, it take a lot of time and practice.
Just keep at it and it will get better.
Hope that helps!
I’ve been rushing through thing for a month now because I feel like I’ve been wasting time. But you’ve just explain to me that it will take time and effort. I am graceful for this advice.
yeah, most people fall into this trap including myself when I learned how to code back in 2020.
But unfortunately, when you rush through things you create holes in your knowledge and learning more complex concepts will be a nightmare if you don’t have a good base knowledge to start with.
When you do take your time and learn it well then you will be really glad you did and it will set up in the future for success.
so I am more of a video person, do you know of any YouTube videos I can watch to understand the little basics?
You can look into these youtube channels
