Challenge: Use the strong Tag to Make Text Bold

Link to the challenge:
https://www.freecodecamp.org/learn/responsive-web-design/applied-visual-design/use-the-strong-tag-to-make-text-bold

@aaronalva The instructions state:

Wrap a strong tag around “Stanford University” inside the p tag (do not include the period).

You have included two extra characters between the strong tags that should not be there.

do you mean the white space? or what does period mean? … well, i have this code and either.

<style>
  h4 {
    text-align: center;
    height: 25px;
  }
  p {
    text-align: justify;

  }
  .links {
    text-align: left;
    color: black;
  }
  .fullCard {
    width: 245px;
    border: 1px solid #ccc;
    border-radius: 5px;
    margin: 10px 5px;
    padding: 4px;
  }
  .cardContent {
    padding: 10px;
  }
  .cardText {
    margin-bottom: 30px;
  }
</style>
<div class="fullCard">
  <div class="cardContent">
    <div class="cardText">
      <h4>Google</h4>
      <p>Google was founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin while they were Ph.D. students at <strong>Stanford University.</strong></p>
    </div>
    <div class="cardLinks">
      <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Larry_Page" target="_blank" class="links">Larry Page</a><br><br>
      <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sergey_Brin" target="_blank" class="links">Sergey Brin</a>
    </div>
  </div>
</div>

The period and the white space are the extra characters, yes. If you delete those two, it should work.

I’ve edited your post for readability. When you enter a code block into a forum post, please precede it with a separate line of three backticks and follow it with a separate line of three backticks to make it easier to read.

See this post to find the backtick on your keyboard. The “preformatted text” tool in the editor (</>) will also add backticks around text.

Note: Backticks are not single quotes.

computers are stupid.

If it asks you to write Hello and you write Hello! it will say it is wrong because there is an extra character

computers are stupid, so you need to be extra careful about this stuff
