I need help plz this challenge is hard

Tell us what’s happening:

Your code so far

<style>

  :root {
    --red-color: red;
  }
  .red-box {

    background: var(--red-color);
    height: 200px;
    width:200px;
  }
</style>
<div class="red-box"></div>

Your browser information:

User Agent is: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/76.0.3809.132 Safari/537.36.

You need to add a background property before the one that uses the variable. So you’re code should look like:

<style>

  :root {
    --red-color: red;
  }
  .red-box {
    background: red; /* Added Background Property Here*/
    background: var(--red-color);
    height: 200px;
    width:200px;
  }
</style>
<div class="red-box"></div>

This way if you are supporting an old browser that don’t recognize CSS variables it will still render the way you want.

set background color red
background:red;
