after finishing the js datastructures and algorithms, the only thing that stuck with me are the basics of js and basics using objects,the fetch api, the different sort functions, but i am stil struggling on using functional programming, oop, recursion, and regular expressions. even after all the projects still cant understand these topics quite well. is their projects i can do on my own taht can help me understand these better for practice

Have you tried the JS legacy curriculum? If you scroll right down the new curriculum it’s at the end. It might be a good idea to go through that and take notes and then repeat some of the projects on the new JS curriculum again with a better understanding.
W3 schools are also good.
I’m not sure whether I can name them or not. So if some moderator or fcc staff confirm that, I can name a few.
