Tell us what’s happening:

can anybody help? need a debugger, I can’t see it, need another pair of eyes, all tasks are correct except one that says “make sure to include a closing audio tag” but I have a closing audio, I’m at my witts end

Your code so far

<body>
  <header>
    <h1>Real Coding Ninjas</h1>
  </header>
  <main>
    <p>A sound clip of Zersiax's screen reader in action.</p>
      <audio id="Zersiax" controls />
       <source src="https://s3.amazonaws.com/freecodecamp/screen-reader.mp3" type="audio/mpeg" />
      </audio>
  </main>
</body>

Take a closer look at your opening audio tag…

#3

there is no difference from my opening audio tag and the example’s opening audio tag at least that I can see

#4

Opening tag should be <audio…> you accidentally have a self closing tag <audio…/>. Which is probably causing the issue

#5

I also kept getting the result where I needed a closing tag on the audio element. I tried all sorts of things to get it to be accepted.

What finally worked for me was removing the (id="") from the audio tag.

All the best!
