I love the background color and the way border radius gives the photo a nice oval portrait look. Have you thought about using any bootstrap or jquery that you learned? Maybe adding a nav bar at the top? overall, I really like it and think you did a great job.
I am also working on my tribute page so really enjoy looking at what others have done. Not really the code but the finished project for ideas for layout I may not have thought about.
