since the freecodecamp website didnt offer a node.js course where is the best interactive place to learn backend in general

Although the newest Back-end Development and APIs curriculum will not be available until later this year, you can still take a look at the older version at Back-End Development and APIs V8 | freeCodeCamp.org. There is Node, Express, and Mongoose coverage there. But keep in mind that this version is no longer supported, so if you run into trouble, we can’t help.
