I'm 30, I don't have a degree in anything, and I feel discouraged

Great to hear you pursued as a Developer.

Out of curiosity, did you ever apply or obtain any paid work? or would you say you are content with non-profit contributions.

That’s the spirit! Besides, “on the internet no one knows you’re a cat”…or 50!! (That is, I suspect many of us will be freelancing at some point or other.)

I’m 45 going on 88 myself but I feel like I have no choice but to learn programming (see, I still call it “programming” – “coding” sounds like medical transcription or something! [Though yeah, “programming” sounds like the teevee…]), what with all the jobs disappearing and whatnot…
