I'm not sure why the color of the text isn't red

Tell us what’s happening:
I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. I’m carefully reading the instructions.

Your code so far

<style>
    .red-text {
      color: red;
  }
</style>

<h2 class"red-text">>CatPhotoApp</h2>
<main>
  <p>Click here to view more <a href="#">cat photos</a>.</p>

  <a href="#"><img src="https://bit.ly/fcc-relaxing-cat" alt="A cute orange cat lying on its back."></a>

  <div>
    <p>Things cats love:</p>
    <ul>
      <li>cat nip</li>
      <li>laser pointers</li>
      <li>lasagna</li>
    </ul>
    <p>Top 3 things cats hate:</p>
    <ol>
      <li>flea treatment</li>
      <li>thunder</li>
      <li>other cats</li>
    </ol>
  </div>

  <form action="/submit-cat-photo">
    <label><input type="radio" name="indoor-outdoor" checked> Indoor</label>
    <label><input type="radio" name="indoor-outdoor"> Outdoor</label><br>
    <label><input type="checkbox" name="personality" checked> Loving</label>
    <label><input type="checkbox" name="personality"> Lazy</label>
    <label><input type="checkbox" name="personality"> Energetic</label><br>
    <input type="text" placeholder="cat photo URL" required>
    <button type="submit">Submit</button>
  </form>
</main>

As the code you have written–

<h2 class"red-text">>

But, the proper way is–

<h2 class="red-text">

Hope you found the solution helpful.

I deleted the second right arrow, but I still can’t proceed. I keep getting told that my h2 element should be red/have the class red-text.

You are missing the equals. It is class=“class-name”

Thanks! I’m not sure how I missed that.

See my reply, there you can perceive the solution code written on 4th line.
