I copied your code and I received the following hint:

Hint

The submit should display the text Submit.

I guess this is not a great hint, but basically when I saw it, I thought to do the following:

  • look in the preview area to confirm the button says Submit (yup it does)
  • add a name attribute (nope, same error)
  • remove the name and use a value attribute (success!)

hope this helps

True, I did eventually get the answer to it, but it bothers me a lot when the hint said that it should says “Submit” when it already said “Submit” in the preview (Talking about accessibility here  )

if you can contribute to the FCC by opening a new issue for this, that would be very helpful.

Bugs can be reported as GitHub Issues. Whenever reporting a bug, please check first that there isn’t already an issue for it and provide as much detail as possible.
(details like the link to the exercise and the code you pasted above so they can duplicate the issue in their setup)

i dont think this is a bug, my code is in english but if i only write
the button on the webpage is in french “Envoyer”, if i add the value Submit, Submit appears !
Thanks btw

You have to give the upper label element a for attribute. and then you need to give the same id in the textarea. that’s all.
