I created an account to say that the export shell command in this tutorial is incorrect. There isn’t a place on the article to comment, so I figured I would let the community know here.

Instead of

echo 'export PYENV_ROOT="$HOME/.pyenv"' >> ~/.zshrc
echo 'export PATH="$PYENV_ROOT/bin:$PATH"' >> ~/.zshrc

It should be

echo 'export PYENV_ROOT="$HOME/.pyenv"' >> ~/.zshrc
echo 'export PATH="$PYENV_ROOT/shims:$PATH"' >> ~/.zshrc
