the step parameter is to be used if you don’t want consecutive characters, but every second, every third and so on…
let’s take this example
my_str = 'Hello world'
print(my_str[0:11:2]) # Hlowrd
starting at 0 with a step of 2, means that the H is taken, but then the e is skipped, and then the l is taken
