Is it normal that I struggle to understand problem solution?

Hi there forum!
I’m getting a bit concerned as I’m reaching the end of my JS course and I keep having to google, post on the forum, or straight up check the solutions in order to advance on my journey.

I give it plenty time, I do understand the fundamental issue but I can’t seem to figure out how to code things in order to achieve what I should be achieving, if I see answers I fully understand what I’m reading for the most part, and what I make has some logic to it, but I’m starting to be really concerned if I’m maybe not a very good fit for coding, or if I should be doing something extra over freeCodeCamp.

Just wanted some outside opinions over my doubts. Thanks a lot!

:mortar_board:

P.S.: it doesn’t happen on every single step, but it happens enough for me to be concerned. I’m doing the Review Algorithmic Thinking part and I’m getting my ass kicked :mechanical_leg:

Reading the answers doesn’t really teach you how to create the answers yourself. Instead I would ask for help here

HI @Raul.F-Garcia !

JavaScript is your first programming language so it is completely normal to feel this way.

Thousands of beginners have been in the same position as you.

With that said, I do think you will benefit more with the JS sections in the full stack cert.
It moves at a much slower pace and has tons of labs for you to practice coding and problem solving.

Hope that helps

Hi!
Thank you for your reply, it does make sense what you say, so I’ll try to take it easy with myself, a slower pace would be very very welcome so that recommendation you gave is gold.

Thanks a lot for understanding!
All the best to you,
Raul
