Issue Claiming Legacy Full Stack Certification

Hi freeCodeCamp community,

Hope everyone is doing well. I am facing an issue with the Legacy Full Stack Certification. I have completed all the required projects and have claimed the following certifications:

  • Responsive Web Design
  • JavaScript Algorithms and Data Structures
  • Front End Libraries
  • Data Visualization
  • APIs and Microservices
  • Legacy Information Security and Quality Assurance

Additionally, I have completed the specific projects associated with the Legacy Information Security and Quality Assurance certification:

  • Metric Imperial Converter
  • Issue Tracker
  • Personal Library
  • Stock Price Checker
  • Anonymous Message Board

However, despite having met all the requirements, the option to claim the Legacy Full Stack certification appears disabled (grayed out) in my profile.

I have tried the following steps without success:

  1. Check if all certifications are marked as “Claimed”.
  2. Make sure the privacy settings on my profile are not hiding certifications or progress.
  3. Testing on different browsers and devices.
  4. Checking that project links are working correctly.
  5. I would really appreciate if someone could guide me on what else I can do or if I need direct assistance from the support team.

I am attaching screenshots of my progress and settings if needed. Thanks in advance for your help!

Regards,

Hello there,

To clarifiy, the requirements to claim the Legacy Full Stack Certification are:

  • Responsive Web Design
  • Legacy JavaScript Algorithms and Data Structures
  • Legacy Front End
  • Legacy Data Visualization
  • Legacy Back End
  • Legacy Information Security and Quality Assurance

Which requires the ALL following certification projects:

Have you completed all of those and claimed their related certifications?

Thank you,
Yes, I have completed all the courses and projects… I have obtained all the certificates necessary to obtain this certification but I am not eligible…

Maybe I have to complete all the courses? (I have already completed all the Legacy courses and I have the certifications)

The only thing necessary to claim certifications is the certification projects, and, in the case of the Legacy Full Stack, the listed certifications themselves.

Would you mind personal messaging me just your freecodecamp.org username so I can dig deeper?

I have investigated the issue.

We have a fix here: fix(client): display correct full-stack requirement by ShaunSHamilton · Pull Request #58325 · freeCodeCamp/freeCodeCamp · GitHub

Unfortunately, the issue is we accidentally wrote that you need to claim the Legacy Back End Certification in order to claim the Full Stack Certification. That is false, because you actually need to claim the Back End Development and APIs Certification.

NOTE: The updated sentence is the same requirement every Camper has had to follow to claim the Full Stack Certification - the requirements have not changed. We just had a bad sentence in the UI.

Hope this clarifies
