I don’t how to put parseInt to convert the string to a number in map variable.

how do you calculate the average of a group of numbers?

Firstly, are you filtering out for Christopher Nolan? I have real questions about your filter.

Also, parseInt(sum + user.imdbRating) - this is going to concatonate the string onto the number (not add) and then parse it. You want to parse the string first. And do you want to parse as a an int?

Also:

const averageRating = map.reduce((sum, user) => parseInt(sum + user.imdbRating) / 4, 0);

Do you want to assume the result will have 4 values? I would want to make that more dynamic.

Cool,

You still have the issue that you are parsing for integers, but the values are floats.

And I still hate the idea of hard-coding in that magic number of 4 - that is a bad practice and will only work for this specific case.

Well, it looks like your code passes - good job.

But the question is what are the differences between parseInt and parseFloat ?

One parses out and integer, the other a floating point number:

const value = '1.8';

parseInt(value);
// 1

parseFloat(value);
// 1.8

By using parseInt, you were truncating your values.
