One of my clients is complaining about the quality of their pictures in Chrome-based browsers. The picture(*.jpg) has dimensions 1200x1200px and is sharp, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it.
The client sent me a comparison of the same picture in Edge, FF and Chrome. It’s apparent, that the same picture looks best in FF.
This is what I see in Chrome, the picture looks just slightly better in FF
It seems like there are some issues when Chrome is downscaling the images.
I’ve stumbled upon these articles and tried the recommendations, but with no success.
I have come to the conclusion that it’s a problem in the Chrome engine, and there is not much I can do.
Has anyone of you ever dealt with something similar?
