JavaScript curriculum not covering DOM manipulation?

Just wondering why the JavaScript curriculum does not include any DOM manipulation content. Unless it does and I just haven’t come across that section yet. If so, apologies for asking.

It doesn’t cover plain JavaScript methods for DOM manipulation, but the libraries section includes some popular libraries for DOM manipulation. The curriculum is building towards React, which has its own model for binding the view.

Oh that makes sense. Thanks for the reply. I’m assuming the idea of this curriculum is to give students a strong fundamental knowledge of the language before learning how to use it with HTML and CSS?

If you’re talking about the JavaScript Algorithms and Data Structures section, then yes. This section is about JavaScript as a language and programmatic problem solving.

Thanks for the reply again. I will continue the course as it seems to be good.

Happy coding!
