So im currently learning JavaScript as I have learned all I need to of HTML and CSS. And im just wondering a few things:

  1. How long did it take you to learn this language?
  2. What do you use JavaScript for?
  3. What are you most proud of making?

If you dont mind answering these questions, I’ll be thankful😄

  1. It depends on what you mean by “learn”. You can get a good grasp on it in six months. It can take years to truly “learn” it.

  2. HTML and CSS will only get you so far. Any front end web development worth paying for is going to involve a lot of JavaScript. It’s what makes web pages come alive. Any dynamic interaction is going to be JS based. Any manipulation of data is going to involve JS. And with Node, you can use JS on the back end and build servers. HTML lays out a web page, CSS makes it look pretty, but JS makes it come alive.

  3. As I learn more and more, each thing I build is better and better.

Just learn. JavaScript is essential for any front end web development.

So im currently learning JavaScript as I have learned all I need to of HTML and CSS.

I don’t know where you are on your path, but I might suggest that there are plenty of tricks left for HTML and CSS to teach you. Especially CSS - I’m always amazed how many new things I keep learning about CSS and what it can do.

Just keep learning. This is a lifelong pursuit.
